Attendance

Attendance is taken in each class. Good attendance is important as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. If an absence is due to an illness, a Doctors note must be presented to the front desk upon returning to class. If a dancer has a fever, please keep them home. All scheduled absences, such as "Vacations", must be handed in to Studio B in writing and documented.

Make-Up Classes

Dancers have the option of taking a make-up class in the appropriate level

(Oct - Jan). Make-ups will only be offered due to illness, medical reasons or family emergencies. There will be no refunds for missed classes. Holiday closures do not warrant make-up classes. Please inquire at the desk as to the class day and time for your child's make up class.

Dress Code

A dress code is an important part of the discipline instilled in a young dancer and all dancers are expected to arrive prepared and in proper dress attire. Our dress code was established to promote the students freedom of movement and enable the instructor to observe proper body alignment. Hair must be pulled back away from the face in every class. No jewelry other than small earrings should be worn.

Inclement Weather and Holidays

In the event of inclement weather please call the studio for updates or check Studio B website/ social media. We will follow the decisions of Matawan/Aberdeen Board of Education when it comes to school closings due to inclement weather. On occasion, we will override the school system if conditions clear in our area.

Recital

We will conclude this year with our annual Recital at Brookdale Performing Arts Center in Lincroft, NJ. This performance is a celebration of the students' hard work and dedication throughout the year.

All dancers are expected to participate in the recital
All dancers must attend a mandatory dress rehearsal
If there is a conflict, please notify Studio B by January
Recital packets will be distributed
Recital costume fees range from $75 & up
A costume deposit of $50 per costume and balance must be paid on time. Costumes will not be ordered if your fees are not paid in full.

COSTUME FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE!

To purchase recital tickets or participate in the recital, your account must be paid in full. This includes June payment due no later than June 1st. All family members and guests must have a ticket for the recital.

Liability Waivers

Upon registration you will sign a waiver that states that you agree to hold harmless Studio B Matawan LLC and it's Staff. We require that all students be covered by their own family insurance policies. It is understood that your child is participating in a physical activity and the students own insurance policy is the only source for reimbursement!

Social Media

It is the responsibility of the parent to monitor their dancers social media accounts, including but not limited to text messages, Instagram, Facebook, SnapChat, etc. Any dancer who posts negatively about the Studio, The Company, Staff Members or fellow dancers will be immediately dismissed from the studio. In the event of " Bullying" the dancer, parents and studio director will meet to address the behavior. If the negative behavior continues, the dancer will be asked to leave the studio. Respectful dance studio etiquette is expected and upheld at all times. Studio B reserves the right to dismiss any dancer or parent who's attitude or conduct is found to be disruptive or unbecoming, whether on our premises or at an event that Studio B is attending. Studio B reserves the right to publish photographs and/or video that may pertain to your child which may include images or video for the purpose of advertising for Studio B.

Please support and respect your fellow dancers, parents, instructors and staff members. Help us promote a fun, friendly, and positive environment.

The Safety of your child is Studio B's #1 priority!

Dancers are to be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes before their scheduled class time.
Dancers must be inside the studio after drop off and while waiting for pick up.
A parent/guardian will be contacted if a dancer is disrespectful or behaving poorly in the studio.
Studio B is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. Please check the"lost and found"! Items will be held for 30 days before disposal.
For your dancers safety, there will be no gum chewing in class and all snacks must be NUT FREE.
Water bottles ONLY are permitted in the dance studios.
Cell phones and other electronic devices are not permitted in the classrooms.
Waiting area is closed to parents/families. Drop off and pick up only.
